We are seeking Quality Control Inspector to join our Repair Center Quality Team at Metso. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of repaired equipment and components.
In this position, you will report to the Quality Manager, Services Operations.
This position is located in Mesa, AZ and may involve up to 10% travel to visit customer sites and attend training sessions.
What you’ll do:
• Conduct thorough inspections of repaired equipment and components to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
• Utilize precision measuring instruments and testing equipment to verify dimensions, performance, and functionality.
• Identify and document any defects, discrepancies, or non-conformities, and collaborate with repair technicians to address and resolve issues.
• Maintain accurate and detailed inspection records and reports.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality control processes and procedures.
• Provide training and guidance to repair technicians on quality control standards and best practices.
• Assist in the development and implementation of quality control plans and procedures.
• Perform other tasks as directed.
Who you are:
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification in quality control or a related field.
• Experience as a Quality Control Inspector in the mining or manufacturing industry.
• Knowledge of quality control principles, practices, and tools.
• Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments and testing equipment.
• Attention to detail and good analytical skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with industry regulations and safety standards.
