Quality Control Inspector
**Job Summary** The Quality Inspector performs inspections at all stages of production and ensure that standards of excellence are maintained during the production of goods, manufactured components and finished products. This position reports to the Quality Supervisor. **Job Duties and Responsibilities** + Conduct a variety of tests on outbound products for shipping. + Conduct in-coming, in-process or final testing or inspection as required. + Ensure that all company quality check procedures are followed during every inspection. + Create comprehensive documentation for quality issues and note the corrective actions that were taken. + Conduct additional duties to include building kits for the production line and bolting on optional equipment on new units. + Perform minor repairs found in the inspection process. + Work with departmental supervisors and managers to improve overall company safety and product quality. **Minimum Requirements and Qualifications** + High school diploma or equivalent is required. + General computer skills – proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and charting software preferred. + Must possess excellent communication skills. + Ability to work well unsupervised, manage conflicts, handle multiple tasks, be detail oriented and highly motivated required. + Must be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines and perform well in “team” situations without compromising quality. + Certification of quality control is a strong advantage (ISO 9000 etc.). + Familiarity with quality testing machines and systems. + Experience with lean manufacturing principles is preferred. + Must be able to bend, squat, kneel, reach, push and pull and have the ability to stand 8 hours daily. + Proven experience as quality inspector or relevant role. + A keen eye for detail and a results-driven approach. + Responsible and trustworthy. + Familiarity with quality testing machines and systems. + Thorough knowledge of quality control standards and testing methodologies. **Note:** This job description is general in nature and is not designed to contain or to be interpreted as a comprehensive inventory of all duties, responsibilities and qualifications required of employees assigned to the job.
