Job Description:

As an Quality Control Inspector at L3Harris, you will be responsible for ensuring that all products and materials meet the established standards of quality including reliability, usability, and performance. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can consistently apply objective criteria to the inspection process and contribute to the continuous improvement of our products and processes.

Essential Functions:

Perform visual and physical inspections of products and materials at various stages of productionUtilize inspection tools and equipment to measure and test product features against specificationsDocument inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; inputting data into quality database(s)Identify non-conformities and escalate any discrepancies to Quality and Manufacturing engineering support staffAssist in developing corrective actions, solutions, and improvementsReview and understand specifications and other technical documentsCollaborate with production teams to ensure quality standards are understood and metParticipate in training to stay current with industry standardsMaintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with procedures, rules, and regulations

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

Basic understanding of quality control principles and methodologiesAbility to read and interpret technical documents and drawingsBasic math skills and the ability to use measurement toolsAbility to transport up to 25 pounds occasionallyBe able to comply with ITAR and EAR regulations as applicable

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in d New York State is $37,000-$68,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
