Position Summary:

The Quality Control Inspector I is responsible for performing quality inspections and package testing on in-process materials and finished products. This effort includes, but is not limited to, ensuring all policies and procedures comply with applicable FDA, state, OSHA, AATB, and ISO regulations and standards. This individual works with every department to ensure the quality of the products is up to company standards.

Essential Functions:

Performs inspections of raw materials, components, and assemblies for conformance to specificationsAdheres to all verbal and/or written instructions such as detailed drawings, production traveler, work instruction, and process specifications at the direction of supervisor in completing a variety of inspection tasksVerifies inspection equipment, machinery and tools used are calibrated per company policyDocuments non-conformance when foundBrings problems/issues to attention of Quality Assurance Management and area SupervisionWorks efficiently to achieve targeted goals as set by the production schedulePerforms other duties as assigned, to maintain efficiency throughout the companyPractices Good Manufacturing Practices and inspection techniques at all timesPerforms final documentation review and release of DHR filesAdheres to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policiesEnsures Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your roleRepresents the company in a professional manner and uphold the highest standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions with other employees, customers, suppliers, and other third parties

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalentMinimum of two (2) equivalent or four (4) years’ in a related fieldSelf-starter with the ability to show initiative in assignments; willingness to continually strive to increase knowledge and skillsStrong clerical and math skillsAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings for medical devicesAutomated inspection system experience and familiarity with GMP and SOP’s to ISO standards is a plusAbility to use standard measuring equipment (i.e. Micrometers, Calipers, Height Gages, profilometer, ring, plug and thread, go no/go gages, dial indicator, surface plate, gage blocks and torque wrench)Team player, open to new ideas and team work, self-motivated individual, willingness to continually strive to increase personal knowledge and valueStrong organizational, problem solving, and follow-up skills; Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while multi-tasking and maintaining attention to detailProficient in Windows, MS Office, especially MS ExcelExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAttention to detailSelf-starterAdvanced critical thinking and problems-solving skills
