Quality Control Inspector I - Receiving and Final Inspection

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Inspector with a high school diploma or GED equivalent and at least 2 years of relevant experience. The MST team has a long legacy of supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, commercial and international customers with years of experience in platform operations, engineering and full lifecycle management across domains – air, land, sea, space and cyber.

Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance Inspector, will be using your skills and expertise to ensure that our incoming parts, in-process production, and ready to ship product meet all quality requirements.Responsible to visually inspect our materials, parts, and products at different stages of production for structural flaws, internal defects, or missing welds and accept, reject, or request rework of defective or malfunctioning units or systems.  Develop, apply, revise and maintain our quality standards for receiving, in-process and final inspection.

Qualifications You Must Have:

High School Diploma or GED EquivalentHigher education may substitute for relevant experienceRelevant experience may be considered in lieu of required educationKnowledge and ability to understand and interpret technical schematics and drawingsKnowledge and ability to interpret geometric dimensioning and toleranceExperience with finished goods inspectionExperience with Costpoint and/or AEGIS-MESBasic understanding of material flow in operationsAbility to draft work instructions and SOP'sExperience with Network+, Security+, CCNA and/or A+Working knowledge of ISO 9000 and AS 9100 standardsQuality Assurance Inspector I with 1+ years experience in a Manufacturing Quality environment1+ years mechanical inspection background with ability to use basic hand measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, thread gauges etc.)As required by site, knowledge of and ability to use a wide range of higher precision measuring or Non-Destructive Evaluation equipment.Self-starter requiring minimal supervision.Effective teamwork, interpersonal, and communication skills.Good written and verbal communication skills.Experience with MS Office
