Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Quality Control Raw Materials Trainer at our site in North Dublin. This role involves training new and existing employees on quality control procedures and raw material testing, with a focus on instrumentation and wet chemistry techniques. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with a variety of laboratory instruments and techniques used in a quality control environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and deliver comprehensive training programs to meet all job requirements of laboratory personnel.Champion of all Training activities within the QC function.Maintain and comply with Laboratory Documentation and Computerized Systems Data Integrity requirements.SME on all Laboratory Equipment and procedures.Development of annual training plan based on Laboratory training needs identified; ensure timely implementation of this plan.Responsible for the review and update of all analytical procedures required to support Analyst training needs.Ensure staff are proficient in wet chemistry techniques and laboratory instrumentation carry out accurate testing and analysis. Ensure that all raw materials meet quality standards.Monitor adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements an all testing processes.Maintain accurate records of training provided.Generate detailed reports on raw material quality testing procedures, and training progress.Provide monthly training matrixes, KPI’s and Compliance Wire reports as required.Keep informed of best practices within the industry with regards to Laboratory training and work to implement best practices on site.Liaise with other AbbVie facilities to ensure consistent training approaches on similar activities across different sites. Ensuring that all safety aspects of the role are adhered to. Identifying of potential safety hazards in the laboratory and liaise with Lab Manager and EHS Officer to resolve.Responsible for identification of training gaps, delivery of training required and liaising with QC supervisors to ensure training carried out in accordance with agreed timelinesQualifications
A third level qualification in Chemistry or related Science, preferably a bachelor’s degree Train the Trainer Qualifications an advantageMinimum 4 years relevant Quality Control experience or equivalent combination of education and experienceExperience in pharmaceutical manufacturing facility.Demonstrate knowledge of cGMP requirements and practices including extensive knowledge of the USP and FDA Guidance Documents relating to the pharmaceutical Quality Control Laboratory.Demonstrate competency in the operation, calibration and qualification of common analytical instrumentation. HPLC, GC, FTIR, Auto titrators, UV/Vis and other USP instrumental and wet chemistry technologies used in pharmaceutical Quality Control Laboratory.Demonstrate strong analytical laboratory skills and laboratory troubleshooting abilities.
