Position Summary:
This position will be responsible and accountable for ensuring quality standards are met. Good organizational skills and accuracy are required to ensure proper documentation and reporting. Must diplomatically interact with all levels of staff. This position also assists the Production Manager in ensuring quality employee performance standards are met daily while assigning day-to-day tasks of quality staff.
Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for the testing of products and recording data; and, performs alternative testing as required Notifying management of non-conforming material Extensive recordkeeping, documentation, and reporting Work within current production management system to help manage non-conforming product and inventory Perform safety and quality audits Record and save data in company database as required Monitor and ensure employees have a safe work environment and all plant safety and compliance rules are followed by employees who oversee on a day-to-day basis Reinforce PPE policies, requiring all quality employees and visitors to wear steel toed shoes, hearing protection, safety glasses, and other as required Ensure assigned work area is kept clean and organized. Provide feedback on quality staffing, processes, and performance Provide quality training and retraining to all employees and progress updates as needed. Ensure proper supplies are kept for the facility while keeping costs to a minimum. Meet/achieve safety, quality, production, waste, housekeeping and cost goals set forth by management. •5 years experience in a responsible position in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
• Eligible to work in the United States
• Successful completion of pre-employment background and drug screen
• Ability to work overtime when required/some weekends
• Basic computer skills required; Microsoft Excel and Outlook experience preferred
• Experience with product testing, past quality experience required
• Ability to diplomatically work within a team environment
• Auditing experience a plus
