Job DescriptionThe Quality Control Manager communicates a clear, cohesive message to site manufacturing personnel focusing on customer satisfaction and process improvement. The Manager develops, implements, maintains and audits site specific operations requirements of the corporate Quality Management System to ensure all processes and products are in compliance with code, accreditation, certification and customer requirements. They drive problem solving and continuous improvement activities and develop and maintain strong relationships with company brands, customers, auditors, vendors and facility employees and management to be able to react to their needs and address issues which may arise.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Collect, analyze and interpret manufacturing data related to operator and process quality performance, and facilitate improvements to build capacity within BCP manufacturing processes, using leading and lagging indicators at both site and company levels.Audit manufacturing areas for adherence to company procedures and standards as well as applicable industry codes and standards: ISO 9001 and ISO 14001. Track results of audits and required corrective actions.Facilitate completion of improvement initiatives and build capacity within systems and processes that require engagement and consensus across all functional departments.Perform root cause analysis of issues and implement successful corrective actions.Support and maintain process focused training programs especially in the areas related to BCP’s Quality Management SystemDirect plant level Quality Department staff as required to meet contractual and standards requirements.Maintain a system for tracking customer communication, concerns, and corrective actions (voice of the customer)Review and maintain quality records as required by applicable procedures and standards.Perform regular safety audits and exhibit felt leadership.QualificationsEducation & Experience Qualifications
Minimum:
Bachelor’s Degree5 years of quality systems experience5 years of manufacturing experienceExperienced in process auditing, control and error proofing.Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or other manufacturing discipline.5 years of Coil Paint Line experience.Skills & Competencies
