A full-service design firm located in the suburbs of Chicago is looking to add a Quality Control Manager to their team! Job Description: + Lead the application and ongoing improvement of the quality assurance and quality control standards to improve the accuracy, quality and timely delivery of projects + Oversee the compilation, organization and maintenance of quality control documentation + Conduct thorough reviews of Construction Documents to identify errors, omissions and inconsistencies + Act as a key resource to team members by providing technical guidance to ensure that project designs and documents meet both the firm's and clients' expectations + Serve as a leader in drawing documentation processes, promoting consistency, accuracy and adherence to industry standards across the firm + Provide mentorship to junior and senior staff + Collaborate with clients, project managers and other stakeholders to align on quality expectations, resolve issues proactively and ensure that the end product aligns with client objectives and project goals + Collaborate with external consultants and vendors to ensure their work aligns with quality standards and project requirements + Develop and track key performance indicators related to quality control + Lead presentations and workshops to teams and studios, sharing quality control best practices Qualifications: + Minimum 15 years of professional experience in the full design process, from inception through contract administration, with a strong focus on the construction document phase, particularly in the commercial architecture sectors of retail, restaurant and hospitality + Professional Degree (Bachelor's or Master's) in Architecture from an accredited program + Architectural licensure is required + Proven ability to mentor and develop junior architecture staff + In-depth knowledge of industry codes and regulations, with a comprehensive understanding of national codes and Authorities Having Jurisdiction + Proficiency in Bluebeam Studio is highly preferred + Base knowledge of Revit Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $48.08 - $57.69 • Medical, dental & vision• Critical Illness, Accident, and Hospital• 401(k) Retirement Plan – Pre-tax and Roth post-tax contributions available• Life Insurance (Voluntary Life & AD&D for the employee and dependents)• Short and long-term disability• Health Spending Account (HSA)• Transportation benefits• Employee Assistance Program• Time Off/Leave (PTO, Vacation or Sick Leave) Workplace Type This is a hybrid position in Des Plaines,IL.
