**Job Title: Quality Control and Product Development Manager**

**Job Summary**
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a **Quality Control and Product Development Manager** . This dynamic role involves leading critical improvement processes and bridging the gap between product development and commercialization efforts for a national food manufacturer. Key responsibilities include developing implementation plans and standards, spearheading commercialization processes, and ensuring seamless integration between product development and quality control to achieve customer and company goals.
**Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities**
**1. Develop Implementation Plans and Standards**
+ Assess operational metrics to ensure adherence to product quality standards.
+ Establish and maintain product specifications for all produced items.
+ Design and lead kaizen events and blitzes to improve product quality, process flow, and reduce mean time between failures.
+ Champion problem-solving initiatives to eliminate root causes and prevent recurrence.
**2. Lead Commercialization Processes**
+ Oversee commercialization efforts to align with customer and company needs.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product launches and market adoption.
+ Work closely with Production teams to optimize processes, improve yields, and reduce costs.
**3. Coaching and Training**
+ Train and qualify plant personnel in improvement methodologies.
+ Provide coaching on project deliverables and implementation strategies.
**4. Support R&D Integration**
+ Prioritize and support R&D initiatives to ensure comprehensive and accurate processes and data.
+ Collaborate with R&D teams to optimize research outputs and streamline workflows.
**5. Ensure Quality Assurance and Regulatory Compliance**
+ Partner with Quality and Food Safety Departments to validate and ensure accuracy of product development information.
+ Implement measures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices.
+ Participate as a member of the Food Safety Team and hold HACCP certification.
**6. Manage Projects and Reporting**
+ Provide regular updates to stakeholders to ensure project transparency and alignment.
+ Foster communication channels to maintain responsiveness to market demands.
**Knowledge, Skills & Abilities**
**Education and Experience**
+ Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, food science, business management/analytics, or a related scientific field; advanced degree preferred.
+ 3–5 years of experience in food manufacturing operations with a focus on continuous improvement and commercialization.
+ Proven project management and communication experience.
+ Knowledge of quality standards, food safety, and regulatory requirements.

+ Ability to independently manage multiple projects simultaneously.

+ Team player with a positive attitude and strong relationship-building skills.
+ Expertise in food product design, formulation, ingredient functionality, process design, product scale-up, plant testing, and commercialization.
+ Knowledge of USDA regulations and food industry quality and safety standards.
**Working Environment and Physical Demands**
+ Regularly required to talk and hear; frequently required to stand and walk.
+ Occasionally required to sit, use hands, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, taste, or smell.
+ Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
+ Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
+ Exposure to varying noise levels and temperatures (hot and cold).
+ Frequent exposure to food tasting and smells, including allergens.
