Quality Control - Quality Tech/Inspector

Job description

Work Hours: Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm w/overtime as volume dictates

Pay: $16/hour

The candidate will need to have strong attention to detail and familiarity with computers and computer accessories.

The Quality Technician is tasked with inspection of incoming material against engineering specifications to confirm suppliers are providing compliant material, testing of RMAs to determine failure mode. line audits to confirm production compliance with requirements and auditing out-going product to verify compliance of finished product. Any non-conformances are to be written up as non-conforming and reported for review.

Essential Skills and Experience:

High school diploma/GED Must be detail-oriented logical, methodical, hands-on person that does not mind repetition Must have experience with production, inspection, parts sampling and reading engineering drawings Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) Must be able to use measuring equipment and tools required for role Able to inspect over 1,000 pieces of products for imperfections or defects Must monitor the quality of incoming and outgoing products or materials to defined specifications Able to effectively communicate internally and externally in both written and oral form Candidate must have good interpersonal skills and strong problem-solving capabilities Must work effectively with others and be comfortable working in a warehouse or office setting Must be open to working overtime including some weekends during peak season Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening Must have reliable transportation Ability to perform work while standing, sitting or walking, as well as sustained motion for a minimum of eight (8) hours a day and capable of repetitive motion for up to four (4) hours Knowledge of computer assembly is a plus High school diploma/GED, some college preferred Must be detail-oriented logical, methodical, hands-on person that does not mind repetition Experience with Product Quality, parts sampling and reading engineering drawings Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) Must be able to use measuring equipment and tools required for role Inspect products for imperfections or defects, escalate when needed Monitor the quality of incoming and outgoing products or materials to defined specifications Able to effectively communicate internally and externally in both written and oral form Candidate must have good interpersonal skills and strong problem-solving capabilities
