Cleaver Brooks is looking for a Quality Control Receiving Inspector to join our team in Lincoln, NE. The Quality Control Receiving Inspector is responsible for inspecting vendor supplied components & materials upon delivery for conformance to both Cleaver-Brooks & ASME specifications.

Essential functions:
Physically measure product using, but limited to, Micrometers, Calipers, Straight Edge Rulers, and Tape Measurers comparing the results to the appropriate specifications. Compare chemical and physical properties on the vendor provided Material Test Reports to the appropriate specification or code. Verify that the products are physically identified with the appropriate markings and identifications symbols per the appropriate requirements as well as identified with the appropriate traceability heat number. Record findings in the IFS System, including but not limited to, inspection results and MRB Cases. Report any Nonconforming findings to Quality and Purchasing team members. Work closely with Receiving, Purchasing, and Production Planning personnel in order to prioritize inspections. Used various sections of ASME code books to perform inspections.Basic Requirements:
Education: High School Diploma plus AAS degree preferred.
Experience: 1 – 5 years related experience in welding, boiler or related manufacturing industry and prior quality control technician experience preferred. Ability to work independently, read blueprints and material test reports, and use various measurement equipment. Previous MRP/ERP experience and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
Physical Skill & Effort: Must be able to lift up to 65 lbs. 48” high on an occasional basis. Must be able to work up to 12 hours standing and walking on hard cement surface and will be required to regularly bend, stretch, stoop, squat and climb ladders up to 8 feet high. Must be able to read tape measure; read and interpret blueprints, safety rules, operating/procedure and maintenance instructions. Must be able to work in confined spaces as narrow as 16” in diameter.
Working Conditions and Hazards: Will require working in areas up to 18 feet from the ground. Must be able to climb stairs and work in temperature ranges corresponding with the outside ambient temperatures. Will be exposed to noise, dust, dirt, welding fumes and machine lubricants and/or oils. Must be able and willing to work with and properly use all necessary and/or required personal protective equipment including, but not limited to safety glasses, hearing protection, safety-toed shoes, hard hats and fall protection.
