Quality Control Senior Technician
Overview PepsiCo is on the lookout for a Quality Control Analyst to join our Operations team in Little Island on a temporary contract basis. This role is based in our ingredients plant in Little Island and is a critical component to our manufacturing network. Operations is at the centre of everything we do, this is where our food and beverages come to life and is the start of the journey to getting our product in the hands of our consumers. The successful candidate for this role will be responsible for the analytical testing of incoming raw materials, in-process samples and finished products in compliance with a product specification. All activities are conducted in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practice and safety requirements, while ensuring a positive team environment and a focus on continuous improvement. This role will work on a 24/5 shift pattern. Responsibilities Role Responsibilities: Ensure the accurate and timely sensory analysis of ingredients and manufactured products in accordance with PepsiCo standards and procedures Prepare samples for sensory analysis and organise sensory panels Registering QC samples in the laboratory management systems accurately Meticulous attention to sample data entry and preparation Prepare all production, delivery and issue samples in a timely manner Ensure timely and effective issue resolution and communication Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment as required. Maintain all relevant records and samples in an organised system for quick and effective access to information with a particular focus on trace-ability Organise the replenishment of relevant laboratory supplies Develop and maintain an effective working relationship with sensory panels Develop and maintain an effective working relationship with process operators A requirement of this role is that all PepsiCo Health and Safety requirements are adhered to. Qualifications Essential skills: BSc in food science or equivalent Desired skills: Good interpersonal and communication skills with proven ability to positively influence others and lead teams. Good troubleshooting skills. Ability to manage a varied workload. Ability to work on own initiative, self-motivated.
