Quality Control Specialist - 3rd Shift - 10 pm - 6 am
The Quality Control Specialist is responsible for performing quality inspections and managing quality of work for the print and inserting departments. The position is handling mail that must meet specific USPS and Zelis production standards that include maintaining high quality work in a high-volume environment. This individual is responsible for inspections and support for multiple machines. This includes managing all spoiled pieces with 100% accuracy and completing paperwork according to standard operating processes. Must be able to work onsite at the Zelis Production Facility in Fenton, MO. Quality Control Specialist positions are 3rd shift position – 10:00 pm – 6:00 am. What You’ll Do + Inspects finished products to meet production standards before it’s shipped to customer. + Manually handles documents after inspection prepares them for the mail stream. + Strong attention to detail + Manages time to complete tasks in a timely manner and meet strict deadlines. + Conducts hourly QC checks of die-cut ID cards, monitoring quality of cutting position. + Follows directions and instructions of Production Manager. + Notifies Production Manager of any quality issues, spoilage or reprints that are required. + Follows all standard operating procedures and instructions relevant to the job, position and department accurately. + Follows established HIPAA, Compliance & Security policies, department policies, procedures, work instructions and safety and environmental guidelines. + Organizes and prints all postal paperwork + Troubleshoots and assists with issues generated by insert and print departments + Verify the accurate completion of all Touch and Toss jobs + Ensures all QC SOP’s are being properly executed + Maintains a professional manner + Strong interpersonal skills + Expects excellence and accuracy + Exhibits strong work ethic + Other duties as assigned What You’ll Bring to Zelis + High School diploma or equivalent GED required + 1-3 years’ experience in a quality control environment preferred but not required + Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. + Must have basic computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel Physical Factors and Requirements + Stand for long periods of time + Able to lift 50 lbs. or more + Reliable transportation to and from work + Use standard office equipment + Must be able to maintain good attendance + Must be willing to work overtime as needed, significant overtime may be required during busy periods Zelis is modernizing the healthcare financial experience by providing a connected platform that bridges the gaps and aligns interests across payers, providers, and healthcare consumers.
