Quality Control Manager
Your role and responsibilitiesIn this role, you will have the opportunity to assist local unit in developing the necessary capabilities to effectively control products and systems. Each day, you will ensure compliance with internal, customer, and industry requirements within a cost-effective and safe working environment. You will also showcase your expertise by participating in the development and implementation of standards and test methods to ensure only compliant products, software, and services are released to the customer.The work model for the role is: #LI -Onsite.This role is contributing to Our Electrification Business in India.You will be mainly accountable for:• Conducting test protocols, as assigned, to ensure products, systems, or software meet specified requirements andcustomer expectations in incoming, manufacturing, factory test labs, or final inspection quality, including internal testingroutine and Factory Acceptance Testing (F.A.T.) as applicable.• Supporting quality control needs and activities for supplier quality, production quality, testing and validation, andengineering, as applicable in the local organization.• Executing and assisting specific quality-related training, promoting a passion for quality and integrity in all actions,with a focus on result orientation.• Collecting, recording, and evaluating data to be interpreted according to the internal ABB specifications, customernorms, and applicable national and/or global standards while maintaining a high level of integrity.• Attending to customer complaint tickets and ensure that they are responded intime.• Interact with zonal service engineers, factory quality team, complaint logging teamfor resolution of the tickets and taking necessary actions to resolve the complaints.• Analyzing the defective received from customer and providing 8D/Analysis reportto the customer.
Qualifications for the roleBE/Btech in Electrical with 5+ years of work experience Knowledge of low voltage switchgear products like ACB, MCCB, Switches, Fuse gear, Control gear, pilot devices,soft starter, UPS etc. Must have knowledge and skills - embedded hardware design - analog and mixed signal electronics, powerelectronics. Ability to analyze waveforms captured on above devices.
