Quality Control Specialist (Junior - Senior)
Position Description:

CGI Federal is seeking Quality Control (QC) Specialists who will be responsible for the daily monitoring of the Quality Management System (QMS) processes and performing QC checks in all functional areas. The QC Specialist is responsible for ensuring work on all projects is meeting all customer quality assurance specifications and the guidelines of CGIs QMS program. The selected members will provide quality control, verification and validation, system quality conformance testing and final system checklist for deliverable items.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Individual shall be able to interpret plans and drawings and contribute to the design and fabrication of test specimens.
• Should have experience in computer aided drafting (CAD), ability to prepare shop drawings for model construction, and be familiar with material specifications and fabrication methods.
• Responsible for QC inspections, testing and verification and validation of all deliverables associated with assigned projects.
• Monitor the QMS while performing the work.
• Enforce quality control work standards to ensure equipment and systems integration are in compliance with contract requirements and government regulations.
• Conduct formal and informal reviews on the QMS.
• Interfaces with the integration, logistics and technical documentation personnel for all QC related issues.
• Optimizes ISO 9001-2015 processes, operations, and resources to ensure maximum quality control capability is attained.
• Provide written and oral quality control reports to the Quality Assurance Manager and/or Project Manager (PM).

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• 10 years professional experience solving technical problems.
• High School diploma/GED, related military experience, or trade/industrial school graduate.
• Ability to successfully complete the CGI background investigation to include; 50 State Criminal, Education and Employment; additionally, your ability to successfully complete a Credit and/or Driving Records Checks may be conducted if required by the contract for continued employment.
• Individual shall possess a Top Secret clearance with SCI access or be eligible to obtain SCI access without waiver at time of on boarding.
• Ability to travel up to 25% or less.
• Quality control experience at the field or sustainment level.
• Experience in the Lean Six Sigma preferred.
• Experience and expertise in the ISO 9000 series processes and methodologies.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project, Outlook).
• Work schedule must be flexible in order to manage quality control and to ensure mission accomplishment.
• Trained in the skills and techniques related to engineering and/or software design/maintenance.
• Possess a practical understanding of engineering concepts.
• Ensures that the product/service and process meet quality and safety standards.
• Experience includes testing equipment to make sure that the process operates effectively and safely.

Due to the nature of the government contracts this position requires US Citizenship.

CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $80,000 to $140,000.
