Your Role: 

The Quality Control Supervisor at the Sheboygan, WI site plans, organizes, and supervises activities within multiple QC testing labs. Job duties include:

 

Oversees the analysts in the lab during evening shift. Responsible for safe flow of analytical operations to ensure conformance to MilliporeSigma quality standards, productivity goals, and customer requirements. Hires and coaches’ staff of analysts, gives timely feedback to achieve superior performance and develop employees for growth. Oversees continuous improvement in safety and hygiene in the lab environment. Manages the lab trainer and the training program for the department. Provides technical advice to resolve analytical issues. Makes recommendations for capital equipment and operational budgets. Ensures that employees are trained in all safety, PPE, regulatory, ISO, and MilliporeSigma QMS (Quality Management) procedures. Keeps accurate and timely documentation of employee performance, along with timely feedback. Responsible for maintaining confidential information of employees. Serves as resource for employees, customers, vendors, and affiliates. Assists in the investigation of customer complaints. Maintains and improves our QMS (Quality Management Systems). Supports a culture of continuous improvement. Ensures that training, documentation, and calibration programs are in compliance. Miscellaneous duties and tasks as assigned. 

 

Who You Are: 

Minimum Qualifications 

Associate Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or other Life/Physical Science  3+ years of technical production or quality experience 1+ year demonstrated leadership ability 

  

Preferred Qualifications 

Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biology or Life Science disciplineStrong technical knowledge in analytical chemistry (emphasis on organic and analytical)Business acumen and ability to apply risk-benefit analysisExcellent communication and leadership skillsAbility to function in a high-volume, high-data environment with challenging prioritiesStrong problem-solving skills and ability to coach othersAttention to detail and organization skillsAble to adapt, self-motivate and critically thinkDemonstrated leadership experienceExemplary attendance and adherence to schedule Understanding of ISO quality standards. Safe chemical handling practice  Microsoft Office, Power Point, Excel, Word etc.
