+ **Pay Rate:** $70,000 to $75,000 per year
Overview:
This client is an industry-leading nutritional supplement company focused on delivering the highest quality products to customers.
In this role, you’ll be working with a dedicated team of leaders and colleagues to oversee the daily operations of the Quality Control section. This role will give you an opportunity to develop your skills and contribute to the creation of top-quality nutritional supplements while maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Assist in planning, coordinating, directing, and supervising QC activities.
+ Ensure team members are trained and performing inspections as per instructions.
+ Supervise QC personnel and monitor product quality through daily audits.
+ Coordinate and prioritize lab activities, develop, and implement validation and verification programs.
+ Ensure availability of lab supplies, PPE, and maintain/service lab equipment.
+ Handle equipment calibrations and maintain records.
+ Create raw material specifications and initiate change control when needed.
+ Manage release or rejection of raw materials and schedule/coordinate work assignments for employees.
+ Conduct cGMP, SOP, and on-the-job training for personnel.
+ Review and implement testing criteria, test methods, and work instructions.
+ Ensure NCMR reports for rejected batches.
+ Relay lab results to relevant personnel and troubleshoot lab equipment and technical issues.
+ Perform lab tests as needed and maintain a safe lab and plant environment.
+ Assist in CAPA responses to inspection findings.
+ Conduct operational and customer complaint investigations.
+ Follow up on corrective actions and prepare for customer and regulatory audits.
+ Revise and approve quality and process control procedures.
+ Create packaging specifications and conduct job performance appraisals.
+ Implement department policies and procedures.
+ Analyze quality test data and suggest improvements.
+ Coordinate with contract laboratories and manage rejected materials and dispositions.
+ Assist in internal audits and conduct performance reviews and coaching for QC Technicians..
+ Perform statistical analysis on problem products or rejected batches.
**Qualifications & Skills**
+ Minimum 3 years of experience in a quality leadership role.
+ Experience in the nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, food, or medical device industry preferred.
+ Proven experience managing a department.
+ Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills.
+ BA/BS degree in Biology, Microbiology, or Food Science.
