The employee in this position may receive general day to day supervision from a QC Supervisor, Shift Supervisor, or QC Team Leader. Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities: + Become familiar with and follow the work instructions, procedures, and instrumentation referenced in the LATICRETE Quality Control Manual. + File all the Quality Control test data and enter pertinent QC information into the computer database (JDE). + Get Q.C. samples from production and maintain a storage system for retained samples. + Maintain absolute security over any formulas and technical information. + Maintain close communication and working relationship with production personnel to provide a smooth, efficient production flow of quality products. + Maintain clean, efficient, and properly operating equipment and laboratory environment. + Ensure all instruments used in product quality testing meet calibration requirements listed in the calibration work instructions. + Perform the activities for scanning and organizing all CoA's, MSDS, Calibration/Verification, and other assorted paperwork for ISO 9001 traceability. + Complete and distribute to production team all forms in accordance with the work instructions in the Q.C. Manual. + Provide a daily report of all QC testing performed on products received in the QC lab. + Advise QC Supervisor and/ or shift supervisor of persistent or difficult Quality problems. + Performs other directly related appropriate duties and assumes accountabilities as apparent or as delegated, including mutually agreed upon objectives. Job Specifications/Skills: + Typically 0-2 years in Laboratory experience. + Aptitude for mathematics and science. + Familiarity with computer data entry. + Physical ability to lift and/or carry a minimum of 50 pounds. + Physical ability to operate power tools. (Ex. Power drills and mixers) + Needs to be organized, Methodical and Meticulous. + Good oral communicator. + Problem Solver. + Computer Skills: Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and Outlook. + Team Cooperation - maintain positive, cooperative, professional attitude with all LATICRETE Employees and all customers. Typical Educational Requirements: Typically requires High School Diploma and/or AS or equivalent certifications and experience. Travel: + 0-5%
