Job Summary

This position uses a highly skilled technical knowledge of chemical processing to produce chemical compounds. This position will be responsible for testing all samples in a timely manner, and logging and organizing the resultant data.

Job Description

To perform all analytical testing as required in support of both process control and quality assurance operations, and provide accurate, timely recording of test results. A great candidate would have a good understanding of gas chromatography gained through previous work experience.

Technician will perform routine analysis with the following laboratory instrumentation:

            Gas chromatograph (capillary)            pH meter            Densitometer            Refractometer (electronic)            Polarimeter            Colorimeter (comparator)            Wet Aldehyde Titration

Must be able to read and follow written instructionsMust be effective with verbal communicationsCapable of working both independently and in a collaborative settingKnowledge of basic laboratory analyses like physical testing, titration, and color comparison based analysesGood record-keeping skills and exceptional attention to detailCan adhere to Good Laboratory PracticesAble to organize and prioritize.  This position requires the technician to simultaneously analyze multiple samples from multiple sourcesAble to perform simple algebraic calculations

Required Experience

A.S./B.S. in Chemistry, Biology or a related field is preferred.3+ years experience quality testing using analytical equipment is preferred.Must have basic computer and computer applications experience.
