QC Chemical Laboratory TechnicianPosition Summary: The QC Chemical Laboratory Technician supports QC analysts with routine analyses, documentation, and various laboratory functions within the QC Chemistry Laboratory. This role ensures compliance with established standards while assisting in internal development and manufacturing operations. Key Responsibilities: + Prepare Test Solutions: Prepare diluents, mobile phases, and other test solutions. + Glassware Management: Clean and maintain glassware, including collection of dirty items. + Instrument Calibration: Perform daily instrument calibrations and verifications. + Documentation: Maintain clear and accurate documentation following pharmaceutical industry standards. + Waste Management: Coordinate and assist in the collection of pharmaceutical waste (e.g., sample waste, solvent waste, sharps containers). + Lab Maintenance: Keep work areas and instruments clean and well-maintained. + Inventory Management: Track, receive, and log supplies (e.g., solvents, glassware) and stock laboratory supplies. + Assist Analysts: Help dissolution analysts with instrument setup and cleanup. + Safety Compliance: Participate in safety audits and weekly checks (e.g., eyewash stations). + Collaboration: Communicate effectively with personnel across various departments. + Compliance: Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), Good Documentation Practices (GDP), and Safety Guidelines. Education & Qualifications: + Required: Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field (Chemistry or Biology preferred). + Open to: Entry-level candidates with relevant educational experience Skills & Proficiencies: + Strong understanding of instrumental technologies and chemical analyses. + Knowledge of quality and regulatory requirements in the pharmaceutical industry. + Good problem-solving skills and a logical approach to scientific challenges. + Ability to follow SOPs, work instructions, and regulatory requirements. + Ability to multitask and manage time effectively to meet workload demands. + Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written). + Ability to read and interpret technical procedures and regulations. + Ability to apply mathematical operations for data analysis. Physical Requirements: + Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, and crouch for extended periods. + Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. + Manual dexterity for tasks such as typing and operating equipment. + Visual acuity for prolonged use of a computer and reading materials. + Ability to work in a lab environment while wearing safety equipment (e.g., safety glasses, lab coat, gloves, respirator).
