Quality Control Technician
**Job Title: Quality Control Technician** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled CMM Programmer to join our dynamic team in the die casting sector of the automotive industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for programming and operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to ensure the highest quality standards for our products. You will play a crucial role in maintaining precision and accuracy in our manufacturing processes. **Responsibilities** + Develop and implement CMM programs for inspection of die cast components. + Analyze engineering drawings and specifications to determine inspection requirements. + Conduct routine calibrations and maintenance of CMM equipment. + Perform inspections and measurements to ensure compliance with quality standards. + Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issues. + Document inspection results and maintain accurate records. + Train and mentor junior staff on CMM programming and operation. + Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality processes. **Essential Skills** + Minimum of 2 years of experience in CMM programming, preferably in the automotive, die casting industry, or machining. + Proficiency in CMM software - PC-DMIS and Calypso (Ziess). + Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing). + Quality measuring tool experience: Optical comparators, Indicators, gauges, etc. + Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience programming scanner heads. + Experience reading stepfiles. **Why Work Here?** We offer comprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision, medical, disability, and 401k. We offer flexible shifts to accommodate personal schedules, with options from 6:00am - 2:30pm or 7:00am - 3:30pm. **Job Type & Location** Position based out of Wheeling, Illinois. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
