**Job Title: Quality Control Technician**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a dedicated Quality Control Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for dimensionally inspecting manufactured components, physically assembling components as needed, and documenting all manufactured parts that fail inspection. You will assist the Project Management department with specialty applications and provide support to internal and external vendors by conducting in-process inspections. This role also includes utilizing ERP software to manage work orders and training new employees.
**Responsibilities**
+ Dimensionally inspect manufactured components using manual inspection, CMM, and assembly methods.
+ Physically assemble components following engineering drawings.
+ Wrap manufactured components, tag, and gather all items for final verification.
+ Document all manufactured parts that fail inspection and provide disposition to engineering/Project Management.
+ Assist the Project Management department with specialty applications.
+ Support internal and external vendors with the manufacturing of designed components by conducting in-process inspections as needed.
+ Utilize ERP software to receive manufactured parts into stock through work orders, record time, and review work orders.
+ Verify that all physical components are allocated on the picklist.
+ Assist with training new employees.
+ Perform all other duties as assigned.
**Essential Skills**
+ 4-5+ years of experience within the Quality Technician/Inspection industry.
+ Experience with Zeiss Calypso CMM Programming, including the ability to start programming from day one.
+ Ability to read and understand tight tolerance blueprints (GD&T), with some blueprints having 200 or more tolerances.
+ Mechanically inclined with an understanding of how things work, including QC processes and lean principles.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Previous Aerospace experience or background is a plus.

**Work Environment**
The work environment is climate-controlled and clean. Typical shifts are from 6:30am to 2:30pm. Our facility is a new air-conditioned 20,000 square foot building equipped with advanced technologies such as Pro-E, Mastercam, and 3D Surface/Solid Model computer systems, electronic inspection equipment, multiple granite tables, CNC and manual lathes, CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers, multi-spindle drilling, tapping and press machines, all grinding capabilities, precision tool sharpeners, honing machine, TIG and arc welders including robotic welding, and automated wash tank, vibratory deburring, and dry blast cleaning equipment.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wheeling, Illinois.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00
