Quality Control Technician
Job Title: Quality Control Technician
Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Quality Control Technician to join our team. In this role, you will perform various types of testing, including wet chemistry, GC testing, viscosity, and color testing in a production lab. You will work with concentrated materials and be responsible for final product testing release, following established methods and protocols. This is an opportunity to work across three different product lines and labs, gaining experience and cross-training in multiple areas.

ResponsibilitiesPerform wet chemistry testing, GC testing, viscosity, and color testing in a production labConduct specific tests like LOH, specific gravity, and melting pointRun GC and perform titrations and visual color testingHandle chlorine-based products and oil additives, ensuring accuracy in testingEnter samples and test results into Sample Manager, and ensure final results are recorded in SAPToggle between different responsibilities and product lines, including rubber tire additives and sulfur productsMaintain accuracy and follow established testing methods and protocolsEssential Skills1-3 years of lab experience in any industry (pharma, chemical, etc.)Proven ability to run GC and perform basic wet chemistry and titrationsBachelor's Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experienceExperience in a chemical industry lab settingTroubleshooting skills and willingness to learnAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience in quality control or R&D lab settingsAbility to work with oily substances and in environments with strong smellsStrong preference for candidates without a Master's Degree unless the personality fits the roleAbility to learn and adapt to new testing standards and proceduresWork Environment

The work environment includes a spread-out plant with samples brought up to the lab. The lab is divided into different areas, including cubicle and production labs. The environment may be dirty at times due to oily substances, and there are strong smells. Uniforms are provided, and there are locker rooms and change rooms available. The equipment in use ranges from old to newly updated.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $28.00
