Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.
Scope of Position:
To support, implement, and maintain Quality as well as Plant initiatives at HMTC to drive continuous improvement of Quality, Safety, Cost, Delivery, and Morale.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
This position will lead and provide support for Quality objectives as follows:

Hours of work/work schedule:
8am to 5pm M-F with some off hours support as part of on-call rotation
Required Education & Experience:
High School or equivalent Creative/innovative problem solving Strong technical fundamentals Able to collaborate across organizational boundaries and integrate solutions Results oriented and high commitment The ability to learn new technology and processes quickly Write technical reports Able to work within a team environment, understand urgency of deadlines, and follow tasks to completion.
Desired Experience:
2-year technical degree preferred Microsoft Word, Excel, OneNote, Teams, Outlook; SAP; SharePoint Knowledge of products, PQA philosophy and fundamentals Green Belt certification a plus SharePoint Statistical Analysis
Soft Skills:
Good verbal/written communication and presentation skills Interpersonal skills – positive, engaging, enabling, open Rigorous problem solving Planning and organization Effective in managing multiple priorities

The range for this position is $57,578.00 - $79,171.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
