Quality Control Technician - Electrical
JOB TITLE: QC Technician – Electrical LOCATION: Sunnyvale, CA JOB DESCRIPTION The QC Technician - Electrical will be responsible for quality control of electrical systems, from preconstruction through the commissioning phases. This role includes inspecting electrical installations to ensure compliance with project documentation, applicable codes, and industry best practices. You will work closely with electrical contractors, design professionals, and clients to address and resolve electrical coordination and technical issues. RESPONSIBILITIES + Schedule and coordinate electrical system inspections and related trade personnel. + Conduct onsite inspections of electrical installations to ensure compliance with approved QA/QC plans and project requirements. + Verify that electrical systems meet applicable standards, including NEC codes. + Participate in QA/QC meetings and provide feedback on electrical system quality. + Perform offsite inspections of electrical components and equipment. + Address technical issues related to electrical system installation and resolve issues to closure. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS + 2+ years of experience in electrical quality control or construction QA/QC. + Experience with electrical system installation, inspection, and commissioning. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office and field management software (BIM360 Field, Procore, Latista). + Strong knowledge of NEC and other electrical codes and standards. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS + Experience with electrical design or inspection in industrial or large-scale construction projects. + Knowledge of complex electrical systems, including commissioning and testing processes. Compensation for this position is hourly, based on experience, background, and skills.
