Quality Coordinator - 3rd Shift

LOCATION: Bloomfield, Connecticut

BASE RATE PER HOUR: $31.00

SHIFT: 3rd

HOURS: Generally, starts as early as 10 PM with overtime on an as needed basis based on business needs. Starting times and hours may vary depending on coverage due to report-offs and the production schedule especially during holidays. Good attendance and punctuality required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Daily QA factory audit and process verificationFirst point of contact to respond to all Food Safety and Quality incidents on off shiftsTrack and process finished product holds and dispositions using SAP warehouse inventory management system.Process vendor non-conformances in SAPAssist with analytical testing.Support the environmental swab program and laboratory testing.Analytical Instruments and Equipment verification, maintenance & calibrationVerification of records (FS Process Controls, Quality Points, ext.)Filing and management quality recordsMaintain electronic quality data, support in trending and analyzing data.  Daily product evaluation setup and lead product evaluation.Support quality and food safety trainingOther duties as assigned to support all QA Dept. roles in managing Food Safety and Quality systems

EDUCATION and/ or EXPERIENCE

HS Diploma or Equivalent is requiredBachelor’s degree in Food Science, or related field, is preferred1-3 years previous manufacturing, quality or food safety experience is preferredStrong interpersonal skills are required.Must have knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Work Conditions:

8-12 Hour shift, overtime required. Weekdays, weekends, and holidays may be required. Employees will receive 2 fifteen-minute breaks and one-half hour lunch break. Environment – Noise levels will be high; temperature will be climate controlled in some areas and equal to ambient temperature in other areas. Lighting is sufficient and floors can be slippery.

Compensation and Benefits:

The starting rate for this full-time, hourly position is $31.00.

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
