Quality Coordinator RN - Part Time

Central Maine Healthcare is seeking a part-time, 20-hour, quality coordinator RN to join our team!

Position Summary: 

The Quality Coordinator is responsible for the collecting, organizing, analyzing and presenting data about the hospital's performance in order to provide statistically valid information that will assist staff to improve overall Quality. The Quality Coordinator reports quality of care concerns to managers, administration, and committees as appropriate; provides intervention and education related to issues to promote safe work practices and quality care and service; in an environment that is beneficial to the safety, health and well-being of all patients, visitors and staff. Is responsible for submitting and acts as a resource person to administrative team, department managers and medical staff for publicly reported surveys such as Leapfrog, Anthem Quality Hospital Incentive Program (q-HIP) and others as requested.

Education and Experience:

Must have graduated from an accredited school of nursing and possess a valid and current RN license by the Maine State Board of Nursing.Must have five years of acute care clinical experience.Must have experience with various personal and mainframe computer programs including databases, spreadsheets, graphics and word processing.Graduate of a 2-3 year program in business, math, statistics, and computer sciences helpful.Have experience in Quality/Risk Management.

Essential Duties:

Reviews and validates charts for Patient Safety Indicators and Hospital Acquired Conditions, reports out to department heads, directors and executive management team.Abstracts, collects and reports out on Medicare Beneficiary Quality Improvement Project measuresAnalyzes, trends, and supplies data as requested by the medical staff or other hospital departments for the purpose of quality improvement or practice pattern analysis.Collects validates and submits data, policies and requirements for the leapfrog and Quality Hospital Incentive Program and publicly reported surveysRepresents Bridgton and Rumford Hospital as Rural Health Committee meetings as requiredDemonstrates management and communication skills necessary for the development, implementation, coordination and documentation of Quality Improvement activitiesComplies with Central Maine Healthcare’s policies and procedures and maintains confidentiality and good public relations.Follows the designated chain of command when controversy arises regarding any issues of concern.
