Quality Data Governance Coordinator

JOB SUMMARY
The Quality Data Governance Coordinator role supports the Executive Director of Quality & Compliance with informatics in the Quality Department. This position will lead and guide department leaders to determine requirements for data and the reporting process. Working with leaders to identify new data and define definitions for data mapping to help engage our organization with data integrity.
Collaborating with departments to understand what data is needed for end-users to answer questions using their data. This will involve gathering data fields, abstracting data, and validating data. Presenting data in a meaningful way to help leaders understand their data so they can make informed decisions. Design, implement and maintain data visualization using Microsoft PowerBI. Create reports, dashboards, and scorecards for our providers. Engage with departments to track the progress of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
This position aims to improve data management and help the organization with creating reliable data to enhance the quality of care to our patients.
PRINCIPLE FUNCTIONS includes the following, other duties may be assigned:
+ Ability to work with all levels of internal management, staff, and outside consultants.
+ Update Executive summary and QIC data for the Executive Director of Quality and Compliance.
+ Participate and help present data at the Clinic Quality Meeting and Quality Improvement Committee.
+ Send out monthly individual scorecards for providers and dashboards for the hospital clinics.
+ Produce case logs data for the Medical Staff Office for credentialing providers.
+ Assist Quality Review RN with data to help clinic managers understand what gaps need to be closed with payer data.
+ Creating data views in SQL and upload data to PowerBi.
+ Managing and troubleshooting data gateway in PowerBi service.
+ Checking PowerBi Service to determine if data is refreshing through the gateway.
+ Troubleshooting to see why data is not refreshing.
+ Having back-up SQL queries saved as a safety net.
+ Creating reports in PowerBi Desktop and publishing to PowerBi Service to share data in the Quality workspace.
+ Quality and Regulatory action item follow-up and verification of resolution.
+ Assisting during Accreditation, Mock Surveys, and Internal Audits
JOB KNOWLEDGE & QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Must have a high school education or equivalent. B.S. in Health Administration or Healthcare related field.
Training and Experience
+ + Experience with abstracting data
+ Experience with working with healthcare data
+ Experience in data modeling, data analysis
+ Understanding HEDIS, MIPS, and key quality safety measures
+ Creating quality dashboards/scorecards
+ Experience with using Meditech, Athena(Centricity), and Meditech Expanse
+ Experience with SQL
+ Experience with PowerBi
+ Motivated self-starter with initiative to take independent action
+ Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
+ Obtain CPHQ within two years
