Job Description

Position Overview:

As a part of O-I’s Quality Leadership Development Program, you will have the opportunity to learn from the best in the glass business. Our 9 - 12 month rotational program will prepare you for a successful and long-lasting career within our in quality and manufacturing areas. You will be offered challenging and diverse opportunities while being supported through a structured learning and development program as you work as a project engineer. You will have access to a variety of on the job learning activities, networking and social activities.

The Quality Leadership Development Program is based in Perrysburg, Ohio. Upon completion of this development program, you will be required to relocate and officially start you career journey at one of O-I’s manufacturing facilities located throughout the United States.

During the development program, you will:

Perform a variety of tests, analyses, and studies related to the improvement of glass container quality.Apply your problem solving skills and knowledge of various statistical tools and methods to design studies, and conduct quality and complaint analyses.Participate in the evaluation and testing of new container designs.Work with O-I manufacturing plants and customers to investigate glass container quality and/or manufacturing issues.Conduct measurements and write reports to summarize and communicate quality analyses.Learn various facets of the plant process including: batch and furnace operations, forming machines, equipment, inspection, packaging, and quality assurance systems.Travel up to 50% of the program throughout North America. O-I covers travel costs.

Qualifications

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant Engineering, Operations, or Manufacturing Technology discipline. Desired degrees include: Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, Manufacturing, Ceramic and Glass, Maintenance and Industrial Technology, Operations Management and Material ScienceTarget graduation - December 2024-May 2025Willingness to relocate – relocation is required upon completion of training (financial assistance provided by O-I)Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis

Salary Range:  The salary for this role is $70,000 annually.
