Job Description
As a Quality Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our products meet customer requirements by reviewing engineering and manufacturing information on new and revised design documents, specifications, production, and tooling plans. You will develop and implement quality assurance techniques and prepare quality and inspection plans to ensure clear understanding of quality requirements. Analyzing and updating quality documents, and participating in the review and disposition of non-conforming materials, will be key aspects of this role.
ResponsibilitiesReview engineering and manufacturing information to ensure products meet customer requirements.Initiate and develop quality assurance techniques such as sampling plans and process controls.Review customer contractual requirements to determine quality needs.Prepare quality and inspection plans, procedures, and instructions.Analyze and update quality documents within the quality system.Participate in the review and disposition of non-conforming materials.Collaborate with vendors, customers, and company personnel to resolve quality issues.Initiate corrective action requests to address deficiencies in procedures, processes, or designs.Lead and participate in continuous improvement activities to reduce scrap and rework.Analyze inspection records and customer returns to improve product quality.Provide guidance and quality-related training to employees.Conduct internal quality system audits and product/process audits as per AS9100 and applicable standards.Essential SkillsBachelor's Degree in Engineering.3-5+ years of experience in an Aerospace manufacturing environment.3-5+ years of experience with First Article Inspection (FAI).3-5+ years of experience with Corrective Action (CAPA).Strong experience with AS9100/ISO9000 quality management systems.Ability to read and interpret complex electrical and mechanical drawings.Strong communication skills with vendors and customers.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience supervising quality lab and calibration technicians.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
