Quality Engineer
Job Title: Quality Engineer
Job Description

As a Quality Engineer, you will play a vital role in supporting activities related to manufacturing quality assurance. This includes managing nonconformance and corrective action systems, supporting new and existing product quality, and conducting root cause investigations. You will collaborate with various teams to ensure product and process compliance with industry standards and regulations.

ResponsibilitiesGenerate corrective action requests and facilitate improvement plans.Verify closure of corrective actions and conduct periodic reviews.Support the development and maintenance of quality documentation, including control plans and inspection procedures.Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and support Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP).Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective actions for production quality issues.Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with quality standards.Create quality control plans that meet customer, regulatory, and sector requirements.Review production specifications to ensure conformance with drawings and contract requirements.Establish quality controls over production processes and testing throughout the product cycle.Analyze reported defects and failures, approve dispositions, and document corrective actions.Essential SkillsExperience with quality assurance and root cause analysis.Proficiency in PPAP, corrective action, CAPA, FMEA, and quality assurance processes.Familiarity with ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards.Experience with internal audits and supporting process flow charts.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in the manufacturing industry.Experience with FMEA, APQP, FAI, and Corrective Action.Exposure to internal audits is a plus.Work Environment

This role is primarily onsite with 75% of the time spent at a desk and 25% on the shop floor. The company, which has around 250 employees, operates in a newly refurbished, bright, and open facility. Benefits include a 401k match and tuition reimbursement, with repayment conditions if leaving within 24 months.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $48.00/hr.
