We are currently seeking a Quality Engineer to join our team in El Segundo, CA.
Position Summary
As a Quality Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability. You will be responsible for analyzing product and process requirements during development to ensure manufacturability and inspectability. This role leads and supports initiatives aimed at achieving zero-defect manufacturing and driving continuous improvement. Your focus will be on maximizing product conformance to specifications while optimizing for efficient production.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Perform quality engineering reviews of design documentation for compliance with stated requirements, including inspection and acceptance criteria for parts and products.Develop and maintain product Quality Assurance Plans.Develop and initiate standards and methods for inspection of unit, sub-assembly, and part levels.Support qualification testing support to ensure correct set-ups and passing data.Implement measures and evaluate proposed corrective actions to enhance production performance using Root Cause and Corrective Action Analysis (RCCA) for continuous improvement.Support Material Review Board (MRB) dispositions of parts and products at various receipt and production stages.Support and maintain FOD prevention process and practices.Document data obtained during all quality activities consistent with company policies and procedures.Develop new approaches to solve problems identified during quality activities.Communicates significant issues or developments identified during quality activities and provides recommended process improvements to management.Prepare reports to communicate involvement and results of quality activities, including First Article Inspection Reports.Prepare and present technical and program information to team members and management.Support and provide direction for technical and administrative workers engaged in quality activities.Support FAA or customer delegated conformity inspections. Willingness to become a DMIR, FAA inspection delegate, is preferred.Maintain a working knowledge of government and industry quality codes and standards.Provide training to the organization for certifications and workmanship standards.Willing to travel domestically and work extended hours if required.Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in a related field and 5-10 years of directly related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Minimum 5 years’ experience in the quality development for manufacturing of avionics units or electronic equivalent systems.Basic knowledge of AS9100 and/or ISO9001 Quality Management Systems and processes.Current or past IPC-A-610, J-STD-0001, or IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification is preferred. Salary Range:
$77,000.00-$102,600.000Pay Transparency
The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate. Actual compensation for successful candidates is carefully determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, location, education/training, work experience, key skills, and type of position.
