Quality Engineer role focused on automotive product launches, quality systems, and continuous improvement in a metal-forming manufacturing environment.
Job Requirements:
Minimum two to four years of dedicated experience in quality engineering.
Proven history in the automotive sector, ideally involving work with manufacturers such as Ford.
Practical experience managing automotive product launches.
Familiarity with metal forming and joining techniques including tube bending, fabrication, cold forming, swaging, end forming, piercing, tube welding, assembly, stamping, and brazing.
Competency in Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) programming.
Skilled in precision measurement using tools such as micrometers and calipers.
Experience conducting and responding to quality system audits.
Preferred Skills:
Ability to understand, prepare, and implement quality-related systems including APQP, PFMEA, Control Plans, Flow Charting, PPAP, SPC, and MSA.
Experience supporting containment of nonconforming material (NCM) and escalation processes.
Background providing quality engineering support to production and engineering teams on gage issues and customer/manufacturing troubleshooting.
Job Responsibilities:
Support directives and compliant activities from the Quality Manager to drive continuous quality improvement and customer satisfaction.
Lead and assist Quality Management with internal containment activities.
Provide daily Quality Engineering support for production teams and engineering staff on gage issues, quarantining NCM, and troubleshooting customer and manufacturing issues.
Coordinate and perform system and manufacturing process audits.
Understand, prepare, implement, and maintain quality-related systems such as APQP, PFMEA, Control Plans, Flow Charts, PPAP, SPC, and MSA.
Compile and write training materials and conduct training sessions on quality control activities.
Develop and maintain professional working relationships with all levels of the organization and with customer representatives.
Pay Details: $29.00 to $39.00 per hour
