Quality Engineer

Body Exterior Quality Engineer is responsible for tracking and supporting activities that are aimed to improve the quality of all vehicles produced at the company from the system and component level.

You'll have... 
Minimum 1 year experience Knowledge of Vehicle Body Engineering systems and components

Bachelor's of Science or Engineering or related field


Even better, you may have...
Preferred experience related to quality engineering and/or methodologies

Preferred experience in body, closures, moveable glass systems or exterior mechanisms

• Good math, science, technology, and IT skills

• The ability to analyze complex problems and assess possible solutions

• The ability to explain design ideas clearly and strong decision-making skills

• Excellent communication skills both in Spanish and English

• Ability to prioritize and plan effectively

• A commitment to keep up to date with new technology

• Excellent team working and people skills

• Organizational skills including prioritizing work assignments.

• Decision maker & Self-motivated

• Automotive service technical background desired

• Launch experience a plus

In this position... 
Body Exterior Quality Engineer is responsible for tracking and supporting activities that are aimed to improve the quality of all vehicles produced at the company from the system and component level.

What you'll do...
• The engineer will coordinate the sessions required to generate and follow up on ideas and projects to improve quality from conception to implementation. 

• Engineer will coordinate and/or support as required the validation of design changes derived from projects and ideas to improve quality indicators 

• Engineer will review & validate the manufacturing process to confirm the proper execution of all Body Exterior Quality ideas and projects. 

• Engineer will verify and confirm that body exterior quality projects meet Ford requirements. 

• Engineer will Keep track of the Body Exterior Quality projects and ideas.

• Create and manage reports to provide status.

• Conduct Quality analysis to solve technical challenges of body exterior systems and components.

• Support initiatives and efforts to yield new products using Quality tools, in order to prevent and reduce quality issues.

• Perform detailed Quality analyses to verify the vehicle performance targets,

• Interact with the design teams (D&R - Design & Release), VRTs, PVTs, FCSDs, CAD (Computer Assisted Design), and VE (Vehicle Engineering) to improve quality.
