Quality Specialist

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop and implement continuous improvements of product, process and manufacturing quality. Support reliability engineering and supplier quality teams where necessary to ensure consistent tools and methodologies are applied across functional teams.The work model for the role is: onsite (Li-Onsite)This role is contributing to the Electrification Installation Products division in Albuquerque, NM.You will be mainly accountable for:• Assess and evaluate manufacturing and customer issues and problems that are submitted in the Positive Action Resolution and Response System (PARRS).• Approving the design for processes developed internally or externally and performing final tests with respect to the project.• Providing support to Production during the internal/external process/equipment start-up, defining action plans and training relevant maintenance and production resources.• Evaluating new process technologies to improve productivity, quality, and cost reduction, defining and leading testing activities, approval criteria, and external provider choices.

Qualifications for the role

Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical or electrical preferred) with minimum 5-7 years of experience working in Quality, Opex, SCM (Supply Chain Management) or Manufacturing rolesLarge project management experience with the ability to coordinate several projects preferred.Project Management certification and American Society for Quality (ASQ) or other quality certifications preferred.ISO auditor experience or prior oversight for QMS (Quality Management System) preferred Six Sigma CertificationUp to 10% travel required.
