Summary/Objective: The Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring that products are designed and manufactured to meet or exceed customer requirements. The Quality Engineer is also responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality standards, procedures, and processes. Duties and Responsibilities: Develop and implement quality assurance plans, standards, and procedures Monitor and analyze product and performance data. Ensure that products meet customer requirements. Investigate customer complaints and take corrective action as necessary. Ensure that products conform to applicable standards. Develop and implement process control systems. Provide technical guidance and support to production and design departments. Participate in design reviews and provide feedback. Manage and coordinate quality assurance activities. Monitoring supplier performance and ensuring suppliers meet quality standards. This includes conducting supplier audits and assessing supplier quality systems. Develop and maintain metrics to monitor the performance of products and processes. Identify and analyze trends in customer satisfaction, quality, and performance. Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions. Establish and maintain relationships with customers and suppliers. Investigate and resolve quality issues. Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards. Participate in continuous improvement projects. Working Conditions: Primarily working indoors, office environment May sit for several hours at a time Prolonged exposure to computer screens Repetitive use of hands to operate computers, printers, and copiers Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in technical discipline or equivalent experience in lieu of a degre 3+ years of experience in quality assurance or quality management Essential Functions: Develop, maintain, and continuously improve the Quality Management System in compliance with relevant industry standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish and maintain quality specifications, procedures, and standards for products and processes. Conduct root cause analysis to identify and resolve quality issues in a timely and effective manner. Develop and implement quality improvement plans, including corrective and preventive actions, to address quality issues and to prevent their recurrence. Participate in design reviews, product development, and manufacturing processes to ensure that quality requirements are incorporated from the early stages of product development. Plan and execute internal and external quality audits, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations. Provide training and support to team members on quality tools, methodologies, and best practices. Ensure all safety regulations are followed and maintain compliance with company, local, state, and federal regulations and guidelines. Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time salary position, and hours/days of work are decided by production schedules and your reporting manager. Travel: Travel will be moderate and would be primarily local during the business day. Preferred Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree Manufacturing/industry experience.
