Quality Engineer
Our client, a leader in autonomous mobility, is seeking a Quality Engineer to join their team. As a Quality Engineer, you will be part of the Quality Engineering Department supporting cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal and communication skills, be detail-oriented, and have the ability to work independently. **Job Title:** Quality Engineer **Location:** Fremont, CA (50%) and San Carlos, CA (50%) **Pay Range:** $70-78/h + Benefits **What's the Job?** + Participate in Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and guide teams to create quality documents including detailed Quality Plan, Process Flow Diagrams, Process Failure Mode Analysis (PFMEA), Process/Equipment Validation, Inspection Reports, Dimensional reports, Functional Test Reports (FTR’s), Process Certs, Material Certs, Rework instructions, Temporary Deviation Orders (TDO’s), Packaging Reports, Part Submission Warrants (PSW’s) in various quality databases including Jira, RGBSI, 3DX, and other Internal Quality Logs. + Support the setting up of procedures, instructions, and processes that will allow the company to align with the international standards for Quality Systems (IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and similar). + Be the main point of contact between Program Management, Design Teams, Test Engineering, Supplier Quality, Manufacturing and Risk Management for hardware development (i.e. Lidars, cameras, and compute suites) + Develop Incoming Quality Control (IQC), In Process Quality Control (IPQC), and outgoing Quality Control (OQC) requirements and setting metrics for analyzing performance + Hold MRB (Material Review Board) meetings with key stakeholders to determine the disposition of on-hand units in quarantine **Requirements** + Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering (Master’s preferred). + 6-8 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in automotive, aerospace, or semiconductor industries. + Strong knowledge of QMS and quality control methods, including MRB, NCMR, and experience with SCARs & CAPAs. + Proficiency with quality tools such as FMEA, Control Plan, and Statistical Process Control (SPC). + Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills. **Bonus Qualifications** + Experience with Lidar, Radar, or camera systems. + Proficiency in Python or similar programming languages. + Experience in a start-up environment and in establishing QMS from the ground up. **What’s in it for me?** + Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k with Match + Weekly pay with direct deposit + Holiday Pay + Referral Rewards + Monthly Recognition Programs + Dedicated Career Partner to help you achieve your career goals If this is a role that interests you and you'd like to learn more, click apply now and a recruiter will be in touch with you to discuss this great opportunity.
