Quality Engineer

Quality Engineer Our Quality Engineers will establish controls for automotive accessories with development, application and maintenance of quality standards for industrial processes, materials and products using data analysis and continuous improvement. Duties and Responsibilities: Develop and implement quality assurance plans and strategies for automotive production processes and products that comply with IATF 16949 standards. Define quality processes and specifications in accordance with industry standards and customer requirements. Identify areas for process improvement in manufacturing, assembly, and testing processes. Develop, review and implement process controls and complete APQP documentation as a part of cross functional teams (CFT). Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement continuous improvement initiatives. Establish and enforce quality control procedures and guidelines to ensure consistent product quality. Conduct audits and create management reports to identify corrective actions. Monitor production processes, inspect components, and conduct product testing to identify defects and non-conformities. Investigate and analyze the root causes of quality issues, defects, and customer complaints. Implement corrective and preventive actions (8D - CAPAs) to address identified problems and prevent recurrence. Evaluate and audit automotive suppliers to ensure they meet quality standards and compliance requirements. Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality-related issues and drive continuous improvement in the supply chain. Collect and analyze data related to quality metrics, defects, and performance indicators. Prepare reports and presentations to communicate quality performance to management and stakeholders. Stay up-to-date with automotive industry regulations, standards, and quality management systems (e.g., ISO/IATF 16949). Ensure that the organization complies with all relevant quality and safety standards. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred. BS in a related field required. 3 years of Quality experience preferred. Automotive IATF 16949 experience preferred Travel: Travel will be minimal and would be primarily local during the business day. Work Authorization/Security Clearance: Must be able to pass EVerify.
