Quality & Operations Excellence Manager

Your role and responsibilities

Develop and implement continuous improvements of product, process and manufacturing qualitySupport reliability engineering and supplier quality teams where necessary to ensure consistent tools and methodologies are applied across functional teamsProvide technical advice in specialized quality assurance technology such as nondestructive testing, statistical techniques, assembly techniques, quality codes and regulations. Participate in the investigation of technical problems and the establishment of procedures and corrective actions to avoid recurrencesReport/provide direction and action plans for key improvements in quality metrics including FPY (​First Pass Yield), CCRP cycle time, DPPM (Defective Parts Per Million), warranty costs and other process quality metrics as agreed to with LBU (Local Business Unit​) managementAdvance ways to expand RTY (Rolled Throughput Yield) metrics in key process and manufacturing areas to build in quality, reduce rework and improve cycle time

Qualifications for the role

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with minimum 5 years of experience working in Quality, OPEX, SCM (Supply Chain Management​) or Manufacturing roles.Preferred Experience Includes: Project Management (PMP, PMI), American Society for Quality (ASQ), Six Sigma or other Quality Certifications - ISO Auditor experience or prior oversight for QMS (Quality Management System).Up to 10 percent travel requiredCandidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
