Assists with formulating quality control policies and control quality of production efforts.
Key Responsibilities: Analyze quality control test results and provide feedback and interpretation to production management and staff. Monitor performance of quality control systems to ensure effectiveness and efficiency. Assists with the communication of quality control information to all relevant organizational departments, outside vendors, contractors or customers. Provide guidance to staff regarding quality control and analytical procedures. Produce reports and feedback mechanisms for internal and external stakeholders regarding quality trends. Supports the Quality Department in the development of quality plans. Review statistical studies, technological advances, or regulatory standards and trends to stay abreast of issues in the field of quality control. Identify critical points in the manufacturing process and recommend sampling procedures to be used at these points. Create and implement inspection and testing criteria or procedures. Document testing procedures, methodologies, or criteria. Create, review and update standard operating procedures or quality assurance manuals. Identify quality problems or areas for improvement and recommend solutions. Create quality documentation necessary for regulatory submissions and inspections. Works with the Quality Manager & Engineering Manager to develop processes for the tracking of defects, test results, or other required quality control data. Evaluate new testing and sampling methodologies or technologies to determine usefulness. Instruct vendors or contractors on quality guidelines, testing procedures, or ways to eliminate deficiencies. Works with the Quality Manager and Engineering Manager to coordinate the selection and implementation of quality control equipment. Key Qualifications/Competencies: Bachelors degree in related field and 2 years experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to communicate effectively with managers, supervisors and fellow employees.
