Quality Engineer
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented **Quality Engineer** to join our CNC/CMM machining team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining quality assurance processes to ensure products meet stringent specifications and industry standards. The role requires expertise in quality systems, process improvements, and hands-on experience with CNC and CMM technologies. **Key Responsibilities:** + **Quality Management:** + Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols to ensure compliance with ISO 9001, AS9100, or other applicable industry standards. + Conduct regular internal audits and coordinate external audits with certifying bodies. + **Inspection and Testing:** + Oversee and perform dimensional inspections using Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and other precision measurement tools. + Analyze inspection data to ensure products meet design specifications and tolerances. + Create, update, and validate CMM programs to enhance inspection efficiency and accuracy. + **Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Actions:** + Investigate product non-conformances and lead root cause analysis (RCA) initiatives. + Implement and document corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). + **Process Improvement:** + Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to identify and implement process improvements. + Drive initiatives to reduce scrap, rework, and cycle times while improving overall product quality. + **Documentation and Reporting:** + Prepare and maintain quality records, including First Article Inspection (FAI) reports, PPAP documentation, and control plans. + Report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as defect rates, yield, and customer satisfaction metrics. + **Customer and Supplier Quality:** + Address customer quality concerns and provide timely resolutions to complaints. + Manage supplier quality by conducting audits, reviewing incoming material inspections, and collaborating on improvements. + **Training and Development:** + Train shop floor employees on quality standards, inspection techniques, and best practices. + Stay updated on the latest CNC/CMM technologies and quality assurance methodologies to ensure team excellence. **Qualifications:** + Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in a quality engineering role, preferably in a CNC or precision machining environment. + Proficiency in CMM programming and operation (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso). + Strong knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and blueprint reading. + Experience with statistical process control (SPC), Six Sigma, and lean manufacturing principles. + Familiarity with quality management systems such as ISO 9001 or AS9100. + Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. + Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams. **Preferred Skills:** + Certification as a Quality Engineer (CQE) or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt. + Experience with ERP systems and quality software tools. + Knowledge of advanced machining techniques and multi-axis CNC equipment. **Benefits:** + Competitive salary with performance-based incentives. + Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance. + Retirement savings plan with employer contributions. + Opportunities for professional growth and certification support. + Paid time off and flexible working hours. **Pay Details:** $55,000.00 to $75,000.00 per year Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled To read our Candidate Privacy Information Statement, which explains how we will use your information, please navigate to https://www.adecco.com/en-us/candidate-privacy The Company will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and/or security clearance requirements, including, as applicable: + The California Fair Chance Act + Los Angeles City Fair Chance Ordinance + Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers + San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance
