Job Title: Quality Engineer
Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Quality Engineer to monitor and improve production assembly processes, ensuring efficiency and compliance with our Quality Management System. This role involves working with a wide range of personnel, including Engineers, Manufacturing staff, various management resources, and U.S.G representatives. The successful candidate will participate in production team meetings, provide engineering assistance for lot acceptance test requirements, and write and incorporate detailed work instructions. Additionally, this role requires planning and conducting quality audits and formally reporting findings.

ResponsibilitiesMonitor production assembly processes to improve efficiency.Participate in production team meetings to drive continuous improvement.Establish and monitor inspection plans based on customer acceptance criteria.Ensure compliance with customer requirements and our Quality Management System.Work with Engineers, Manufacturing personnel, management resources, and U.S.G representatives.Provide engineering assistance for lot acceptance test requirements.Write and incorporate detailed work instructions.Plan and conduct quality audits and convey findings through formal reporting.Essential Skills5+ years of experience in quality engineering.Experience with ISO 9001, corrective action, audit, and control plans.Knowledge of GD&T and experience in the defense industry, including military and government compliance.Experience dealing with US government and DoD/Military entities.Comfortable with inspections in a shop floor/assembly environment.Experience managing internal audits and supporting daily operations with quality inspectors.Proficiency with PPAP, corrective action plans, quality assurance, first article inspection, and root cause analysis.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with munitions and firearms, understanding military standards, and military specifications.High-level experience dealing with various standards and reject verification.Ambitious, hands-on, and able to think quickly in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency with Minitab or similar statistical software.Work Environment

The work environment includes a clean and organized facility with a schedule of 7am-5pm from Monday to Thursday, and 7am-4pm on Fridays. Employees have every other Friday off and flexible working hours within an hour each way as long as consistency is maintained. Travel is rare but may occur for supplier issues or offsite testing, typically lasting a week every 2-4 months. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $95000.00
