**Role Definition**
This position will serve as expert and owner of the Metrology (CMM & gauges) process/area of a new machining facility and reporting to Plant Quality. This position will also be responsible for the governance of other Product Quality qualification processes including but not limited to, facility SPC system, part cleanliness audit and coordination with Metlab for metallurgical tests. Performs advanced inspection and audits to track, analyze, and report on materials, processes, and products to ensure conformance to company's quality standards.
**Responsibilities:**
+ CMM programming (Modus) and CMM program maintenance.
+ Ensure execution of CMM machines, gauges and other inspection & torque equipment recurrent calibration program.
+ Implement the facility SPC architecture and define its maintenance strategy.
+ Implement the product cleanliness inspections audits plan.
+ Implement the facility plan for Metlab inspections.
+ Serve as the go-to subject matter expert for metrology, SPC, cleanliness and primary contact with Metlab in the facility and support other functional areas in corrective and improvement projects.
+ Ensure CQMS is aligned and properly executed in the scoped processes.
+ Maintain quality system documentation.
+ Identifying, analyzing, and resolving nonconformance in the scoped processes.
+ Will be responsible to coordinate the cross-functional teams in RCCA process, for assuring correct root cause identification upon nonconformance events in the scoped processes and assure appropriate interim and permanent corrective actions are determined, executed and validated for effectiveness.
+ Conducting measurement systems analysis; gathering, analyzing, and communicating non-conformance data.
+ Coordinates various Quality training programs.
+ Participating in and offering technical support to internal and external audits; following up response of corrective action from audit.
+ Work in a team environment to develop and implement best practices that emphasize defect prevention, reduction in variation and waste and provide for continuous improvements in meeting all customer requirements.
**Required Education:**
Bachelor degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Materials, Aeronautics or similar).
Advanced level of English required.
**Skill Descriptors**
**Quality Management** :
+ Functional experience with Quality Management Systems.
+ Practical knowledge of APQP concepts; PFMEA, Control Plan, SWES, MSA, etc…
+ Previously worked with value stream Quality metrics: PPM, FPY, Scrap, BIQ F/N/M.
+ Understand the Non-Conforming Product/Process management process.
+ Knowledge of software systems: ETQ, SAP, Infinity, AQE.
+ Experience with inspection equipment calibration/maintenance process (e.g. CMM, gauges, torque).
**Manufacturing Standards, Procedures and Policies** :
+ Strong knowledge of GD&T is essential.
+ Strong knowledge of CMM programming (Modus is preferred) and CMM report design.
+ Practical knowledge of measurement equipment for inspection of machining & torque operations.
+ Practical knowledge of statistics and SPC.
+ Engineering drawing reading and 1E spec interpretation.
+ Basic knowledge of machining process.
+ Basic knowledge of assembly process.
+ Basic knowledge of metallurgical tests.
+ Basic knowledge of Casting and Forging common defects.
+ Practical experience with Keyence microscope is desired.
**Root Cause Analysis (RCA)** :
+ Utilizes RCA techniques, such as Flowchart, Fish-bone Diagram, etc., to investigate basic problems, determine the causes, and find resolutions.
+ Extrapolates lessons to be learned to promote the achievement of better consequences.
+ Effectively ensures that implemented ICA & PCA are communicated and understood by all levels of the value chain.
+ Generation of RCCA & A3 formats.
**Additional Information:**
+ This position will be located in Cienega de Flores, Nuevo Leon, MX.
+ Work will start from Monday to Friday but subject to be changed to Monday to Saturday depending on the support requirements for the production line, particularly during facility and production lines launching phases.
+ Willingness to work extended hours if required (during production line implementation only).
+ Active passport and USA visa are required. International travel may be required up to 20% of the time, occasionally on short notice (during production line implementation only).
+ Relocation is not offered.
