Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Quality Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will demonstrate safety leadership, support standardization efforts across the division, and utilize Six Sigma tools to drive continuous improvement. This role involves collaborating with R&D and site quality teams, facilitating measurement system analysis, and supporting data-based decision-making in quality management.

ResponsibilitiesComply with all safety rules, policies, regulations, and procedures while participating in safety programs.Lead the standardization of test instrumentation usage throughout the division and support site instrumentation purchases.Assist sites with instrumentation questions and collaborate with R&D and site quality teams.Facilitate the standardization of inspection methods across the division.Conduct measurement system analysis (MSA) and gauge correlation (GR&R) to ensure consistent test results.Support statistical analysis projects and tools in quality assurance and improvements, such as defect trends and CpK product analysis.Analyze data and present findings to site management teams to identify quality improvement projects.Utilize Six Sigma tools to drive improvement and permanent positive change.Participate in and lead black belt projects and initiatives to standardize and improve processes.Promote data-based decision-making in quality management.Support the implementation of best practices and standardization of the quality management system.Assist sites with new hire training and act as a divisional resource.Engage in internal audits as needed and involve personnel in problem-solving and risk assessments.Ensure best practices are identified and shared among division sites.Essential SkillsSupplier quality managementQuality engineeringAudit processesQuality assuranceSix Sigma proficiencyBachelor's degree in engineering2+ years of experience in Quality EngineeringUnderstanding of quality auditingContinuous improvement expertiseAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience in printing or food manufacturing quality engineering is preferred.Certified Quality Auditor or Certified Quality Engineer certification.Work Environment

You will be the only engineer on the team and will report to a senior team member. You will work alongside one auditor who reports to you. The position operates on the 1st shift. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $82000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
