Danfoss in Freeport is seeking a Quality Engineer to join our Quality team. The team’s role is supporting all quality functions within the Freeport plant ensuring compliance to the global Customer, business units, receiving plants IATF and ISO requirements. This position will mainly support problem solving by using methodologies like 5 Why`s, cause and effect diagram, 8D and support continuous improvement with DMAIC or PDCA approach. The salary range for this position is $78,000-$98,000. **Job Responsibilities** Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following. + Drive Quality improvement in production to ensure stable output and reduce scrap and rework. + Ensure quality system and standards are in place and make simple so that they are followed. + Help to protect customer against failures with robust problem-solving process for internal and external issues. + Ensure fact-based data analysis, so the organization can prioritize the correct quality projects. + Discuss and manage customer visits, problem solving and their expectations concerning continuous improvement. + Hands on approach on measuring parts, defining root cause, and supporting, leading and managing 8D activities. **Background & Skills** **Required qualifications** + Bachelor’s degree or degree in progress in Engineering, Business or Quality related. **Preferred qualifications** + Work experience with customer claim handling and/or problem solving. + CMM programming, Factory Support, GD&T and part measurement knowledge. + ISO, IATF QMS Auditor or Lead Auditor + Knowledge or experience with Process Flow, PFMEA, Control Plans and SOP. + Knowledge or experience with ISIR, Capability Studies, Gage R&R and Poka-Yokes. + Knowledge or experience with Change Management + Knowledge or Experience with SAP, PLM and CRM + Knowledge or Experience with Microsoft package, SharePoint, excel, Power BI, Power apps. **Job Criteria** + Soft skills or skills that are not measurable from someone’s resume: + Positive Attitude to learn and develop is more important than experience. + Organized, project management oriented. + Multi-tasking, good in re-starting process where stopped. **Employee Benefits** We are excited to offer you the following benefits with your employment: + Bonus system + Paid vacation + Flexible working hours + Possibility to work remotely + Pension plan + Personal insurance + Communication package + Opportunity to join Employee Resource Groups + State of the art virtual work environment + Employee Referral Program This list does not promise or guarantee any particular benefit or specific action.
