Job Title: Quality Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Quality Engineer to support the surveillance and execution of the Local Management System through internal audits. The role involves assuring that non-conformities are effectively closed and working collaboratively with various stakeholders to provide support during the evaluation of customer-specific requirements with respect to the Quality Management System and Warranty requirements. This position also supports in defining and identifying new quality strategies and quality system tools, especially when market requirements change or new business is acquired. The ideal candidate will drive continuous improvement efforts with the goal of enhancing the Local Quality Management System, monitor, evaluate, analyze, and support the improvement of Quality Key Performance Indicators, and guide improvement projects.

ResponsibilitiesSupport the surveillance and execution of the Local Management System through internal audits.Assure that non-conformities are effectively closed.Collaborate with various stakeholders to provide support during the evaluation of customer-specific requirements with respect to the Quality Management System and Warranty requirements.Support in defining and identifying new quality strategies and quality system tools, especially when market requirements change or new business is acquired.Seek out opportunities to drive continuous improvement efforts with the goal of enhancing the Local Quality Management System.Monitor, evaluate, analyze, and support the improvement of Quality Key Performance Indicators and guide improvement projects.Execute internal system and process audits.Provide quality engineering support to manufacturing projects or problems.Participate in promoting safety and perform necessary functions to adhere to ISO/AS standards.Prepare and analyze KPIs and reports.Initiate, oversee, and ensure completion of Final Quality Assurance (FQA) processes.Essential SkillsProficiency in MS Excel.Knowledge of ISO, AS, and QS 9000 quality systems.Minimum 1-3 years of Quality Experience.Experience with quality standards, ISO standards, audit, quality assurance, and quality engineering.Knowledge of ISO 9001 and AS9100.Experience with KPI analysis and reporting.Root cause analysis and vendor communication skills.Additional Skills & Qualifications4-year Bachelor's Degree.Work Environment

The work environment is a moderate to loud production setting, working around equipment and machinery, primarily supporting Aerospace customers. The role reports to the Quality Manager and involves interacting with the quality and production team on the floor. The company culture is supportive, with managers who care about employee development and provide training on quality standards and new duties. The position allows for hands-on experience in quality engineering

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $36.00/hr.
