Your mission, roles and responsibilitiesMain scope:
Drive continuous improvement initiatives in order to improve internal and external quality related KPIs such as FPY, non-quality costs (NQC), customer ppm/ipm, value of blocked stock
Responsibilities / Main Mission
• Define and update the inspection instructions according to the control plan (e.g. final inspection instructions, ok 1st part instruction,…).
• Approve the work instructions on the production lines and thus ensure that all necessary inspections are included, the necessary time is allocated in the standardized work sheets and that the related measuring equipment is available and meets requirements (MSA, R&R study, etc).
• Ensure the respect of the quality standards (based on Control Plan, PFMEA, Standardize Work,….).
• Defining and managing APQP element and Safe Launch controls together with program team by new product implementation
• Participate actively to the Engineering Change Request deployment.
• Archive all quality records in accordance with the control plan (ok 1st part,.…).
• Support the production supervisors in the implementation of the 8 Quality Basics in Production (train, implement, track, alert in case of deviation…)
• Performs regular audits (covering all shifts) to ensure respect of the standard.
• Active participation in the 8D and sustain the rigorous application of the mindset (QRCI).
• Update daily the quality indicators for the UAP and ensure that the quality indicators are well tracked by the GAP Leader for the lines.
• Drives continuous improvement in the UAP.
• In case of non-conformity, ensure deployment of containment actions: with respect of standard TQW and corrective actions.
• Authority to stop non-conforming product and production and immediate escalation to the Quality Manager.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate shall have:
Bachelor degree in Mechanical / Mechatronics / Electronics Engineering.
Min. 5+ Years of experience in Automotive industry, preferably in Quality / Supplier Management roles.
Hands-on experience in managing APQP, PPAP, Process and Customer Audits, Run@Rates
Practical experience with quality tools like, FMEA, Control Plan, MSA/Gauge R&R, Capability studies, SPC,
Working experience in problem solving tools like, 8D, 5Why, Ishikawa, Pareto, Six Sigma
Proven technical skills on products and processes preferably from electronic manufacturing environment
Skills and competencies:
o Fluent English and Japanese are must.
o Other 3rd language (Chinese) is an advantage.
o Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
o Good Communication and presentation skills,
o Ability to work autonomously & in a matrix organization,
o Team player
o Open mindset for challenges with a can-do attitude
o Practical knowledge of Windows and MS Office tools.
o SAP and Minitab knowledge is an advantage.
o Flexibility for business travel
