JOB DESCRIPTION: + Conduct comprehensive analysis of quality issues, including detailed measurements of parts, to identify root causes and implement corrective actions that will mitigate the impact on downstream customers, particularly within Manufacturing Departments. This involves understanding the full scope of the problem and coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and effective resolutions. + Prepare and submit detailed technical documentation to communicate quality issues with suppliers, utilizing the NARS Honda Trouble Report (HTR) system. This includes clearly outlining the problem, its potential effects, and necessary actions, while working collaboratively with suppliers to initiate and track countermeasures. + Establish and define technical requirements for supplier part change points by utilizing the North American Change Point Control System (CPCS). Review and assess quality documentation thoroughly to ensure all changes comply with internal standards and that necessary improvements are proposed before management review. + Lead and facilitate complex problem-solving analyses and investigations to identify the root causes of quality issues. This requires a deep understanding of both technical specifications and production processes, and a strategic approach to resolving issues that affect product integrity. + Direct and manage Supplier Quality Assurance Visits (QAVs), providing clear communication regarding any quality concerns and ensuring suppliers have effectively implemented corrective actions. This involves verifying that countermeasures are not only designed but also executed properly to eliminate non-conforming conditions and prevent recurrence. + Mentor and guide new associates within the group, providing training on problem-solving techniques, company procedures, and the overall role and responsibilities of Parts Quality. This ensures the continuity of high-quality standards and promotes the development of team capabilities. + Oversee and make critical decisions on the disposition of non-conforming parts, ensuring proper handling, judgment, and resolution of issues related to non-conforming parts. This includes assessing the severity of each issue and determining whether corrective actions or containment strategies are needed to prevent downstream impact.
