Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Quality Engineer to join our sustaining engineering team, supporting product quality and regulatory compliance for medical bed devices at our Batesville Manufacturing site. The successful candidate will address quality defects within manufacturing and ensure adherence to quality system regulations and policies.
ResponsibilitiesSupport quality and regulatory matters associated with medical bed devices at the Batesville Manufacturing site.Oversee and assist with Quality Engineering functions, ensuring compliance with QSR regulations and company policies.Provide data-driven quality and business solutions to emphasize quality system compliance.Serve as the primary point of contact for quality-related matters associated with complaints.Interface with suppliers' engineering and quality organizations to address problems impacting functionality, quality, and regulatory requirements.Participate in external and internal regulatory compliance inspections.Engage in Corrective Action System activities, including failure investigation, corrective action plans, root cause analysis, and follow-up activities.Collect, analyze, and track key data across the Batesville manufacturing site to monitor key performance indicators.Investigate product quality problems, determine root cause, gather and analyze data, and implement corrective actions.Drive quality system improvements and ensure compliance with regulatory and procedural requirements.Provide technical quality engineering support for product complaints.Essential SkillsBachelor's degree in engineering or related field.2+ years of experience within medical device manufacturing.Proficiency in running CAPAs, non-conformances, and root cause analysis.Knowledge of quality assurance, ISO 9001, quality management, corrective action plans, quality management systems, and quality inspections.Experience with design reviews, quality engineering, PFMEA, GD&T, and DFMEA.Additional Skills & QualificationsNice to have: additional certifications or advanced degrees in related fields.Work Environment
This position requires onsite work 3 days a week, with Monday and Friday being offsite. The role involves spending 10%-20% of the time on the floor reviewing manufacturing issues and 80% running CAPAs, addressing non-conformances, and handling documentation.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
